The course is open to anyone with a reasonably good level of English. You do not have to be a native speaker or have “perfect” fluency. The center of attention is creative expression, not grammar. At each class meeting we will give feedback on student writing, analyze published works, and occasionally do spontaneous exercises. The goal is to expand vocabulary/ style in English and learn about fiction/non-fiction strategies.  The readings are short stories and chronicles by authors from English speaking countries, as well as some contemporary writers who mix languages and cultural codes.
